Concrete and Drywall

We poured concrete while our drywall crew busily hung and textured the inside.

We ordered 7 yards of concrete, but it sure seems like we only got 6 since we still had 25' of sidewalk that was empty when the pump ran empty.

The drywall crew was amazing, 14+ hour days nonstop for 5 days getting the whole job done.

Another Day, Another dollar someone didn't pay me for my work!!!

We got alot done this weekend, my parents came in from utah, so they helped with everything.

we finally got rid of the concrete volcano, it took a jackhammer for about 3 hours, and a very large hole.

Ready for Drywall

Been busy finishing all the rough trades (electrical, plumbing, etc). I then did the insulation as quickly as I could, that was a nightmare.

but now it is all done and ready for drywall.

Heading Inside

Well, since we have almost completed the outside (windows, siding, and paint etc), we decided to move inside and start the rough trades. Here are pictures of inside the addition and internal wall that will be removed when it is all finished. As you can see from the inside picture, the joys of building involve tools etc spread throughout the entire house. Amy loves it!!!

Exterior Paint

We finally made it to painting the outside of the addition.

I borrowed a sprayer from the Skeltons and shot the whole thing in about 2 hours. Then put about 2 hours of rolling paint for trim. Amy is really proud of how well the tie-in to the existing house looks (she made me rip off the way I did it and re-do it all before I could paint).

we have put a ton of work into the outside (siding, trim, etc)

all that is left is for us to paint!

Wrap

Our next required sign-off was the building wrap and flashing inspection, we got it all done and signed off. Siding is on the way.
